Study Sessions

1 What this page does

Study Sessions lets you build daily-style study flows from reusable chunks. Each chunk ties a deck to a sequence (the same step-based pipelines you define on the Sequences page). You arrange chunks on a flow canvas, optionally add branching rules (e.g. after a chunk, go somewhere else depending on how you did), then run the session with flashcards, progress, and optional autoplay.

• Structured routines — break study into ordered chunks instead of one long deck.
• Adaptive paths — branching can send you to review, skip ahead, or repeat based on performance.
• Autoplay — timed front/back display for hands-free runs (with pause / resume / stop).
• Study mode — moon icon focuses the card area once a session is active (same idea as Sequences).
• Statistics — expand Study Statistics to see sessions, cards, accuracy, time, streaks, and chunks completed.

2 Quick start (under a few minutes)

1. Sign in so chunks and sessions can load and save from your account.
2. Fast path: under Study Sessions, use Quick Chunk Setup to pick one deck + multiple sequences, optionally reorder with Move selected up/down, then click Create Chunks + Add to Flow.
3. Alternative batch path: under Study Chunks, use Batch Create Chunks (Same Deck) to create multiple chunks from one deck in one action.
4. In Session Flow, drag nodes to position them and use Apply visual order so run order follows canvas layout (top-to-bottom, then left-to-right).
5. Optional: under Branching Logic, Add Branching Rule to link "after chunk X, if performance is Y, go to Z".
6. Click Create Session. It appears in Saved Sessions and in the Run Study Session dropdown.
7. At the top, choose your session, study the flashcard (click to flip), then Next Step to advance chunks. Use End Session or Repeat Session as needed. If branching applies, pick the option you’re offered.
8. Optional: set Autoplay and front/back seconds; use the moon toggle for focused study mode when enabled.

While you’re studying

• Next Step — finish the current chunk step and move on (hover can show where you’re heading).
• End Session — stop the run.
• Repeat Session — run the same session again from the start.
• Branching panel — when rules apply, choose how to continue.
